Star Wars: The Musical is a musical version of Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope, written and recorded with original music and lyrics. The purpose of the project was to entertain fans of both Star Wars as well as fans of musical theatre. The project began in 1997 and was completed in 1999.

Behind the ScenesEdit

  • The album was recorded as a concept album. No official staging of this musical has ever been produced.
  • Several fan films have been made as an homage to the project's music. Filmmaker Todd Washburn has created fan edits of The Control Room and Let's Blow This Thing, editing footage from A New Hope to the tracks from the project.
  • Star Park has also created fan films to tracks from Star Wars: The Musical, using tracks from the project set to original videos in the animation style of the television show South Park.
